I can't believe y'all would do this to me! Someone here mentioned the word 'gun', 'weapon', or 'firearm'.:) Now my computer at work will not let me into the site.:banghead: Some kind of filter thing.
In the future please refrain from any mention of firearms related subjects on this forum and maybe, eventually my computer will forget.;)

Just retire and play at home anytime rather than on your break time. No filters (other than spam and viruses) here.:neener:

Hmmm! Well, stick to work on your work computer and you probably won't have a problem. I would never have even thought of using my work computer and my company time to access a hobby site! (If you believe that, I have a story about Hillary dodging sniper fire.)

Looks like it's time to clarify

Pulp, when I said I'd be lookin for another job, it wasn't cause I feel we should be able to play at work (eventhough we all do) it was more to the point of the censorship issue. Within reason, we should all be able to speak our peace and not have the anti gunners, hunters, fishers and GOD knows what else telling us we can't say the G word. These folks are probably tied to PETA "people eating tasty animals" as well. I happen to like cats...they taste like chicken! Just kidding of course. I'm really hoping this whole thing that you spoke about is a joke. I'm a little easy to take in. I mean runnin the bayous and all, which I do with my GUN or Guns and GOD always gets me back home. The easiest way to say this (which I never do) is if it were me in your shoes and hadn't checked this out b-4 working for them, I would not continue to work for them now.
Geaux load up something with The Holy Black and enjoy the smoke.

Hillary

And about Sillary "dodging sniper fire". You can believe one thing for sure. She won't be behind Bill on this one!

Actually, I'm not sure what happened. I reckon the filter just finally caught up with this site. I can still go to SASS, SavageShooters (if that don't get the filter's attention, I don't know what would), and some other sites.
When you're stuck in a control room for 12 hours, and everything is running well, it's nice to look around at my favorite sites from time to time.

Filters

My local, tax-supported PUBLIC library has a similar filter on it. I can't even look up "NRA BELT-BUCKLE" on it because someone has told the filter to see "NRA" as "national RIFLE association." Similarly with BULLET, COLT, PISTOL, GLOCK, and any other "WEAPON" reference. I am right now gathering the names of the persons directly involved in restricting my 1st amendment right. I'll keep you posted. There will be punitive damages awarded on this one.

when the library's first started this censorship, bunches of them got into trouble for screening the word "breast" couldn't look up "breast cancer".just ask the library folks how you suppose to research history of wars when "gunship" is blocked,or Hoover's NRA programs are blocked.there are lots of ways to "mess with" the library folks. jwr

A town set up a public wireless downtown. One of the surgeon specialists at the local clinic complained because he couldn't access his own site. He is a specialist surgeon and his site was "Hands and Arms."

Can't have people looking at those nasty "Arms," now, can we. :banghead:

When you paid to work. Work!!!!!!!!
not play on internet. Trouble with America today people paid and do no work.
GUN, PISTOL, WEAPON, RIFLE ,SHOOTING :neener: :D

I retired at 53 becaused I worked. Then I learned about the internet as a way to waste time

When I retired from IBM in 1989, we still did not have internet service in the office. Most likely kept me from having to take "early retirement". Now that I am retired, all I have to contend with is the "Honey-do list". I will only be entirely free, when my memorial service is listed in my church bulletin.

I'd totally forgotten about this thread, don't know how it got bumped back up, since the last post was in August.

JimDandy, you're close, I'm about 15 miles on east of the WFEC. Used to be Weyerhaeuser, now it's Int'l Paper. I work in the Recycled Fiber control room.

We've lost our super secret internet connection back in August. So now it's just sit and watch the Honeywell.

INterNET

Hmmm. Well... My phone has internet on it, and almost nobody knows. Heh heh. This website works on it, 'cause I have the filter controls...Eh heh...heh.
