Looking to buy one of these little pistols (never should have gotten that C&R license :D ). I've found them listed at militarygunsupply.com and centerfiresystems.com . Any opinions on these outfits? Any other sources I should check?

As always, thanks in advance for any info/opinions/suggestions.

If I remember correctly, the people who picked theirs up from Centerfire Systems that belong to the C&R e-list were quite happy with the deal.

I picked one up from centerfire and I've been happy with it. I didn't get the best quality one they had but mine's probably 80% finish other then that mechanically it works wonderfully. If you have a C&R getting a Manurhin is a great way to get a PP style pistol.

If that's the model that looks like the ppk I had one and could'nt get rid of it fast enough. It was a .380 and really hurt to shoot. The area between my thumb and index finger would get really sore. I really didn't like that gun.

The PP looks like the PPK but it's just a little larger. Most of the Manhurins I've seen have been chambered in .32acp, feels like nothing with the weight of the gun even for it's size.

Well, I went ahead and ordered one from CenterfireSystems today. Spoke with Lois, who told me that they only have a few left. I'll report in again when my new toy arrives :D .

Well, the BBT brought my package today. Gun is in pretty good shape-a little blueing wear at the muzzle and on the backstrap, right side grip is cracked (Lois warned me about that; not a problem). Internals look good. I'll probably take it to the range in a day or so, after I give it a good cleaning. All in all, very pleased with it. :)

Wade,

I picked up one from Lois right before New Years but have yet to even clean it. Did your's come with two mags and a cleaning rod? I was really impressed with the looks of mine. I hope to get it to the range sometime over the long weekend. Make sure you post a range report to tell us how you enjoyed it!

Anyone know if the PPK/S manual applies or is there one specifically for the PP? I want to strip it down and give it a good "how's your father" before firing.

Thanks,

bigjoegood1,

Mine only came with one mag, no cleaning rod. No biggie, though.

I would think that a PPK/S manual would pretty much apply to the PP. After all, a PPK/S is just a PP with a shorter slide, IIRC.

I'll post a range report first chance I get.

CDNN and/or Cheaperthandirt used to sell new mecgar PP/PPK/s mags that are pretty got and inexpensive. The PP and PPK/s use the same mags.
