I'm from Pennsylvania and will be moving to South Carolina to attend graduate school at Clemson. I want to carry concealed but there seems to be many hoops you must jump through to carry in SC, especially since it's so easy to carry in PA. Anyhow, I would like a conceal carry permit but if not, I would at least like to carry while fishing. I came upon this section in the SC handgun laws:
Does this mean I can carry while fishing as long as I have a SC fishing license? I also saw that you can get a non-resident permit as long as you own property in SC. If someone would like to sell me a couple of inches of SC property I would greatly appreciate it.SECTION 162320.
Unlawful carrying of handgun; exceptions.
It is unlawful for anyone to carry about the person any handgun, whether concealed or not, except as follows, unless otherwise specifically prohibited by law:
......
(4) licensed hunters or fishermen who are engaged in hunting or fishing or going to or from their
places of hunting or fishing while in a vehicle or on foot;
