Well many people seem to be recommending a Ruger Sp-101, .357, with a 3in barrel, i have found one new for $350, and then probably another $50 in fees and such. Is this a good price? If not tell me what it should run me.
Thanks in advance.

I horribly overpayed here in CT. $460+ tax.
But such is the cost of buying from a small local gunshop in a commie state.
I could have gone to larger commercial shops and probably saved $30, but I am loyal to these guys. they take great care of me, and always do nice stuff like throw in a $20 box of .357 mag as a sign of their appreciation, or sight in a scope free of charge, or something like that.

Edit to add: and i bought it last month. so the price is pretty darn current.

400 is bout right.Thats what they go for in Michigan. Maybe 375 if your in the right place at th right time. Great gun for the price.Picked up a used 32 H&R mag earlier this year w/3" barrel.Seems to fit anywhere I want to put it,and fun to shoot.Good choice, enjoy

Sp101

$ 350. + ? I would buy it. In are Shop we would have to sell it for around 450. + Tax at the very least. (Cleveland, Ohio area)

Drove past an estate sale 3 months ago and did not even want to stop. The wife demanded a quick look so I waited in the car. She comes back over and says "they have guns". I went over to the table and laying there unfired/brand new in their boxes were a 3" .357 AND a 4" heavy barrel .22 (both sp101's). Grandpa died and family wanted the guns "gone".

Bottom line, $150 each, cash and carry.

I SCORED!

I just bought a LNIB 101 for $299 out the door at the local pawn shop. My first snub nose and I love it.

Four hundred bucks is a bit high for a 5-shot snubbie magnum. A 6-shot Speed-Six in stainless is much more to my liking. Cheaper, virtually as concealable and one extra shot. A Smith 66 also would be preferable at a bit higher cost but with about the same size and weight.

Plus they're much more comfortable.

Prices can vary somewhat regionally, but that seems like a good price. I think I paid $380 + tax, but that was a few years ago.
