I will admit that I wished I had bought a couple of 2nd gen Walkers back when they first came out at $300 each. Even so, its taken 30 years for them to get to $1000 plus. Given that I have decided to concentrate on Armi San Marco repros that have full and correct Colt barrel cylinder and barrel marks. They may not be authentic, but they look good, shoot well, and are actually much rarer than their 2nd gen counterparts.

Well, it's up over $1,000 now with 4 days to go. The winning bid shows it's a proxy bid, so they may be prepared to go even higher.

Prior to Christmas there were at least two C models for sale on GB.com--both in the earlier clamshell style boxes--One in the SAA black box and the other a decorated tan version like I have.

I don't think either brought much over $600 or so and they were both mint.

Of course at any one time GB.com will have well over 400 other black powder handguns to compete with while this site has less than 35, so a desirable model tends to stick out more.

Still, this is also what competitive bidding is all about. All you have to do is score a couple of guys with the attitude of "It's mine, and you can't have it--even if I have to pay twice what it's worth". From then on, the sky's the limit.

However, if anybody here wants to bid at least 5 figures on an auction and brag about it, but at the same time be assured that they won't win or ever have to pay for it.

Here you go. It's worth looking at anyway cause it's awful purdy.

It's a shot show auction item and these things regularly hit 6 figures.

Cheers

Well, it looks like the idiots are out in full force. The current bid of $1,000.51 is just about twice what it's worth. I'd put condition at 98% due to the buggered bolt screw head, handling marks on the grips, and the slight turn line on the cylinder.
