Speedloaders for S&W 317?

Anyone have a clue as to whether or not there is a speedloader made for the S&W 317 (8 shot, .22 LR, J-frame)? I have looked at the HKS line, and there does not seem to be anything listed for this particular cutie at all.

Can't say for sure - - -

- - - But I'd make a modest bet that HKS markets them by this time. They have listed several other .22 revolver speedloaders.

Y'gotta ask yourself, how valuable is a .22LR speedloader? Unlike .38's anf .44's, the .22LR cartridges won't just drop cleanly and completely into the chambers. They require a nudge, and after a few cylindersfull, a push, to be fully seated. IMHO, they are not valuable as training aids for that purpose. Hope this didn't come across as arrogant or mean...

You are pretty much correct. I just figured it would be a convinient way to carry a spare 8 while trail walking.

Besides, it doesn't appear as though HKS is interested in making one!

Otony, MTM makes something called the ammo-wallet that might serve better. It's a flat, plastic clamshell gizmo that will hold a nice assortment of HP's, solids, and shot loads in individual snap-in slots. It'll drop into a shirt pocket with ease. I highly recommend 'em.
