Does anyone know how spikes uppers stacks up to BCMs? I'm pretty set on getitng the BCM but for the same price as their mid length upper without a bcg or handguard I can get a fully set spikes upper. I've read around a little bit and the .22 conversion seems to have some problems, but other than that I haven't found anything negative about spikes. BCM is supposed to be top tier, but from reading spikes webpage they seem to be on the same level with god like quality control.

Considering I'll be ordering it from a website delivery time is also pretty important.

Of course Spikes is gonna say that.

To be honest, Spikes is one of the AR15 manufacturers out there that I have little experience with and know fairly little about. I am sure you could do worse than Spikes. However, I doubt you could do much better than BCM.

I have a couple BCM's and they are excellent, and a great value.

There's no question that BCM is better than Spikes.

This is not to say that Spikes is bad. On the contrary, they produce a pretty good product. They've also improved their stuff over the years, and they introduce new products often. Their QC is pretty good, as is their CS.

I'd be one to go with BCM, though. I'd pay the premium for equipping the BCM with a bolt carrier group and handguards (actually, I'd be putting a rail on mine, but I digress)

That was dripping with sarcasim. I know companies love to exagerate the truth.

Thanks guys. I'll stick with the BCM. Just trying to make the right choice.
