Thoughts: CHF Spikes Elite Upper?

Looking for an upper for my first build and came across this deal - seems like an incredible value for a hammer forged FN barrel, nickle boron bcg and moe handguards...

What do you guys think? Would this be a great upper to do my built right?

My other thought was going with a standard (non hammer forged) BCM upper and standard bcg which would be about the same price except I dont get any hand guards with BCM.

Price aside, I consider BCM and Spike's to be about on par with each, from a quality perspective.

Given the choices that you are looking at, I'd go with the Spike's. Of course, you can also check out the likes of Palmetto State Armory. The examples I've seen were of good quality and many have good things to say about them.

With the advances in manufacturing now a days, it's more about gettin the most bang for your buck.

As for the hammer forged barrel, I believe that it is a worthwhile option. The manufacturing process yields a better barrel.

My bro in law has a Spikes rifle and it is nice. They make good stuff. However their business practice and customer support has been suspect in the past.
