Nuttin' quite looks as sweet as ivory on a deeply blued pistola !!!

Ivory

looks good on any pistol , especially revolvers .
:D:D:D:D:D:D
Looks good on Elephants too :fire:
The only real ivory I will use is from naturally dead Walrus .

Jaeger

Yeah... it does look great on any of 'em. My Govt. model has the 'phant ivory for its grips... when I get a few wood ones under my belt to learn on... I just may get brave and cut into my walrus tusk... scavenged off a beach after a winter storm in the arctic.

Sounds good Ratsodog68

Then you can learned youz some Schrimshaw and make sometin really special for that Government . :D
Pops gave me a whole half a Piano worth of Ivory Keys when I was young-er , used it all on inlays , Daimond shapes etc on rifles for years , till I finally got a clue on what I realy believe in . Ivory is beautifull stuff , but like Diamonds , at what cost is its worth ?
I ahve no problem if soemone found an Elephant dead of natural causes , heck use it up , but killin um animalss for just the tusk ? What the heck ? I just don't get that one . Greed I suppose is the spawn of that . Blood Diamonds , same thing .
Better get on those wood grips so I can see your Ivory work too :D

Jaeger

Nope, no scrimshaw talent in these ol' paws...

I'd have to leave that to someone else's skills. Don't draw worth a darn.

Recycling old piano keys is a great way to keep the material alive and well. That's pretty kewl that you were able to acquire it.

My Govt. model already has some pretty special grips... I'd probably opt to do up a pair for another... like m'be my Super Black Hawk (old style).

Lovely gun Ratdoggy68

I like it , send to Jaeger , subliminal messege number #7 ? Lost track of subliminal messege babble numbers ? Those are pretty cool grips , who made um ?

Dixie carries a set of Polymers whites for the 51 or Model "P" that has the Saloon Girl on them , pretty nice lookin Grips , lets me try to find a piccy here real quick and post that, have always wanted a PAIR , ummm , of grips , not Saloon girls , hee hee hee , I LIE , I want the Saloon Girls too :D Back in a minute :

AP2113.gif

Pretty cool grips huh ? Plus they actualy show you the option to make them a three peice ( ONE PIECE ) grip on the SAA Revolvers . You can do that to wood grips too , trade secret revealed there huh !
I could see that it would be very easy for me to make her Nekked with my Moto-Tool , real easy :D Although that is a pretty classy example of a Saloon Girl there . $56 I think , sometin like that .

Thanks for sharin the pic of your Honey , I like it .

Jaeger

I don't know who made the grips for mine. I came across them at a gun shop in Anchorage, AK about 20yrs. ago.

Those are indeed some nice saloon girl grips. I've read about you doing them up as a 3-piece instead of the 1-piece. Only way to go in my book.

Yup

Unless you have Machines , tis a drag to do one peice , been there done that , never again :banghead:
There are certain times when the Wheel or Mouse Trap needs re-inventing and that tis one case for sure !
I still prefer two piece grips and everything for ease of disassembley and maintenance , plus I could give her a nice Belly Button Ring with my Escutcheon screws , yee haaa , the Tramp ! :D The Classy Tramp that tis . :D

Jaeger :)
