All the mauser threads lately got me inspired to show mine off. This is the nicest gun I own. Given to me by my great uncle. He said that he pulled it out of a pile at the end of the war and brought it home and had it worked on. I wish I knew where. The stock is a beautiful piece of walnut with an inlaid compass. You can still very faintly see the nazi eagle under the bluing on the receiver. It sports a Weaver K2.5 in a G&H mount and also has a lyman receiver sight that is now missing the aperature part. I was thinking of having the bolt worked so I can put a little nicer piece of glass on it.
I worked up a load that she likes last year. 8x57 .323 Hornady 150gr Interlock over 49gr of IMR4064 will put me into 1.5" at 100yards all day long.
Not that I would ever sell it, but is there any way to tell how much rifles like this are worth?
