Sporterizing CAN be taken too far

Didn't you know? Daniel Boone is a great, great grand uncle of gecko45. Just imagine if he had some duct tape! :what:

Seriously though, when I read the title, I was thinking "parkerizing." So I was trying to figure out what you were meaning while looking at the finish on the barrel. Apparently, I have seen too many "bubbafied" rifles and did not even give it another thought until I read jimbo's comment and went back for another look.

Sad, huh?

HAHA wow... All he needs is a tango down bipod,a tac light/laser, and a flash hider or a can and he will be set... maybe a 20 moa base and a S&B 2 turn eh???

elegant

simply elegant

perhaps a foward assist......

now, please put down the eggnog and step away from the wetbar

Ahhh forgot the forward assist... Maybe a m203??? And some nice desert cammo???

Ok it really needs the 3 foot bayonet.

LOL if nothing else it makes me laugh and think about what we would do in a world without forward grips and bipods.

God, I hope double sided tape was involved. If someone actually drilled and tapped that thing they should be stripped naked and tied to an anthill.

Looks contrived to me:scrutiny:

Someone decided to rest a antique gun on a modern tripod and set a red dot sight on it to make it look funny. I'm not convinced that someone deliberately modified the gun to make it tacticool, I think someone wanted to take a funny pic that's all:rolleyes:

I think it was done all in good fun not to be taken seriously. I could be wrong mind you, this is just my theory.

I agree. Funny just the same.

I think the vertical foregrip gives it away as a staged photo. Not only is it unbelievable, but look how far forward it is place. It's too far up to be used.

Where's the four position mil-spec tube collapsing stock and MagPul MIAD pistol grip??????

Where's the GemTech suppressor and the high capacity 50 ball and cap drum magazine for those close quarter assaults where you gotta take down a lot of redcoats at once but you don't want to alert the whole regiment at Fort Woebegone?

Oh, btw, I love it. I want one.
