I've got a shooting buddy that bought one last year. He took it out a few times after taking delivery...it was okay, went bang every time, fed every round, had decent accuracy but after those first few trips to the range, I haven't seen it come out of the safe. He has other 9's and more traditional 45 acp 1911's. For me, I'd rather have a BHP or my P7M8 or my 92fs or one of my USPs ;)

love the feel of 1911 and 9mm is cheaper to shoot.
Its a fun gun that goes bang everytime

I have the SA loaded stainless 9mm w/adj. sights.
At first I had problems getting the slide to cycle far enough to run properly.
It would even hang up on the disconector a few times.
I ordered a 10 pound recoil spring from Wolff and thing have improved greatly.
Eveidently SA is switching from 14 to 9 pound recoil springs. I happen to get a 14 pounder which is just too much for a 9mm.
Now it runs beautifuly. It is very accurate, which is helped by a perfect trigger and really nice target sights.
I'm thinking of a hand fitted barrel and bushing set to get the groups under 2" at 25 yards.
Maybe even a .38super conversion.
One problem I did have was with Corbon ammo. I thought the extra recoil would help cycle it more reliably.
In 8 rounds, I got four pierced primers and four comletely flattened primers.
So, I guess it's not a combat pistol. But it is my best target pistol, edging out my Sig 9mm at the 25 yard line, mostly due to the sights and trigger.

Compare prices first, I think STI Trojan got more to offer, price wise ($800 dealer price?). Three of my shooting buddies has one and I'm very impressed. No jams of any kind (we practice and shoot matches together most of the time).

I'd get a Trojan 9mm in a heartbeat, but they're not available in Kali. I have the SA SS 9mm target version. The groups have tightened up since I first shot it. I have no malfunctions of any kind. The recoil is negligiible and the 9mm is cheap to shoot.
