I've got a question about the alloy(s) used for the different types of 1911s Springfield offers. The "stainless" version is clearly stainless. For the parkerized version, is it also stainless, but parkerized, or is it a carbon steel?

AFAIK their blued, and parkerized guns, as well as that nickeled 38super they but out last year, are carbon steel.

That's the way I understand it as well. "Stainless" is the only Stainless. The rest are Carbon Steel. In fact, I don't think you can Parkerize stainless steel.
