*sigh*

Looks like SA has had another Great Idea (tm) and combined the tried-and-true M14 design with a rifle outta some Sci-Fi movie, Minotaur style. And that's not all... the price has climbed another $200 (to the MSRP of $1,948.00) just for the ability to put even more toys on the front.

It's kinda cool--I'll give it that--but IMO, it seems like they want to try to please everyone out there with one rifle. They should've just gone ahead and put a collapsing, folding stock on there with an AR pistol grip. :barf:

I wouldn't mind so much, it's just that... this is(was) the M1A/M14 we're talking about. :uhoh:

It looks as thought it has SPIKES!?!?!? :what:

It looks like...like...an M1A mated with a HEDGEHOG!?!?!? :uhoh:

I run. I hide. I weep.

Dionysusigma, I pretty much thought the same thing when I first saw that. :barf:

"looks like somebody carrying an M1A tripped and jabbed the barrel into a box of radioactive AR15 accessories."
Hahaha, classic.

LOL - now I can add those 3 "TACTIKOOL" lights to a rifle. I won't even need to shoot a Goblin with it - just burn him with my lights.

I'm wondering where I'd put my weak hand when firing that one; based on where it is on my M1A, I'd need a pretty heavy glove or lots of band-aids. Sorry, but IMO, raygun rials and fore-handles don't belong on these.

:uhoh: :scrutiny: :uhoh:

I'm gonna have to agree with you there. The second one especially... granted, it looks like some kind of cyborg M-14, but it kinda looks cool...

Compared to these two, the SOCOM II looks like the perfect definition of half-arsed.

ShaiVong and Abby, diet pepsi all over my monitor, too funny.
Looks like if you got all those rails filled you'd end up with a 25 lb. M(ass)1A(ggregator).

Hmm...I wouldn't put one of those fiberite collapsing stocks on a .308. They strike me as being flimsy. The Ace SOCOM stock is all aluminum, and would probably serve better.

You'd think if they were going for a compact overall size they've have shortened the length of pull a tad? The M14 doesn't have a buffer in the stock like the M16 or the FAL; there's no reason they couldn't have shortened the stock.

I wish they would have put a rail on the bottom of the stock instead, but for now, as far as I know, this is the only way to put a light (Rule #4) on your M1A.
