Now that the EMP has been out there for some time. For those who have owned yours' for a while. How are they holding up for the long run?

I have someone offering a trade for one of my guns. He has owned it for several years. I have heard him talk highly of it. But I have a rifle that he'd like to trade for. Many moons ago, I had it in my possession to replace his front sight. That, I know isn't going anywhere easily. :)

I have read here and other places of a mixed bag of pros and cons. But most of those are older post or articles. I'm mainly interested in owners that have either worked through any issues. Or that they've never had a hiccup with it.

TIA!

I had a minor problem with mine in the beginning. Sent it off to Springfield and haven't had a problem since. 100% functioning and it gets a couple of hundred rounds a week through it either by one of my grandkids or myself. Love the gun.

Same here, a three digit serial number that Springfield had to tweak, but has been superb since then. My son has had it for awhile now, he loves it too.

I can't recall the serial number of my EMP but it has been flawless as long as I use the appropriate bullet. I had a magazine that constantly nose-dived bullets into the feed ramp at one point. That mag has since been replaced.

My serial number is in the high 11K range and has run very well. The chamber is a little tight...not as tight as a CZ...so I load a bit shorter for it; not issues with factory ammo.

I has three friends who also carry their EMP and I've only heard of a couple of issues.

One had his ejector fall out when he disassembled it. The factory just inserted it into the frame...they fixed it. The other had his recoil spring assembly fall apart...he hadn't replace it on schedule

I went searching online for replacement parts. It seems that if you have any problems, Springfield takes care or them. Would you have to always send it back, even for the recoil spring assembly?

I really enjoy my EMP4 carry, but mine does not have many rounds through it because the polymer guns get more range time. It has been reliable and accurate with a variety of ammunition.

Somewhere along the line the EMP4 became the EMP Champion. I am not aware if anything but the name was changed. I love the form factor and the way it points and feels, but still 31 ounces dry.
