Springfield Warranty - transferable?

Hey guys,

Are SA warranties transferable? I know the original purchaser gets a lifetime warranty (link)

But what if you buy it used?

I would ideally like to hear from SA owners that bought their gun used and sent it in for warranty service.

Also, isn't there a card or something that is required to be sent it along with the gun for service?

I'm looking at getting an EMP, FYI, and would like to know about the warranty in case I find a used one. Thanks all!

When I called SA to get a replacement ejector for my XD, I was told that the warranty goes with the serial number, they didn't care who the owner was.

I didn't have any problems getting warranty service on an XD I bought used. They even paid for shipping both ways.

Yep, the warranty comes with the gun, new or used doesn't.

Now if it is stolen that will be a problem, other than that your AOK.

They'll fix it. Don't worry. SA is the best when it comes to warranty issues.

Nope, I didn't even know they had a warranty card. I have never bought one new. I think the gun is the warranty card.LOL
