I just bought an XDM 45, and can't wait to shoot it!:D I traded my mil spec plus some cash for it NIB. I loved my 1911. However because of my disability my hand dexterity isn't the greatest. Thus, making reassembly quite difficult. :banghead: I still wanted a 45 with a similar grip angle, and it felt good in my hands. Please share you're experiences with this firearm. Pictures of you're XDM's are also welcome. Thank you,

I love mine! Added a Don's stainless guide rod and the PRP Match Easy trigger kit. Now it shoots like it has a Match Grade barrel!;)

I bought one last winter. I added TruGlo TFO's night sights, and a Powder River easyfit trigger kit. It is as accurate as any gun I own and with 13+ rounds it makes a great house gun.

it's a 9 but they are all the same :)

yea they fixed it by compromising the chamber support so we might be hearing occasional KB concerning them in the future.
Just spoke recently to Wild West Guns the people that manufacture the 460 Rowland conversion kit and they said the kit was only available for the 5" tactical 45 because it has a fully supported chamber unlike the XDM and Glock.
So yes you get a match grade barrel but not as strong as the 45 tactical, what a trade off. just to be able to shot SWC

Cuba

Cuba, I wouldn't worry about KB's with a 45 ACP cartridge as pressures are pretty low. However it may be a different story with 40 S&W and some others. That being said KB's in other calibers are also very rare. Usually resulting from bad reloads or on occasion faulty factory ammo. All the best,

That is not correct. The XDm has a fully supported chamber I know because I own one. They fixed the SWC issue by adding a hump to the feed rail at the breechface. There wasn't any need to lessen chamber support.;)
