Has anyone used the ST. MARIE SWISS K-31 CLAMP-ON MOUNT on their rifle. Does it rattle or come loose? Will it hold zero? Is it worth the price of a k-31?

I believe the one built by Pierre is as good as they say when it comes to staying where you put it. And it will hold accuracy from what my friends tell me. However, none of them has switched it on and off to see if it would go back to exactly the same spot yet once you totally removed it from the rifle. I suspect though that it might even do that. Pierre is apparently a very good machinist.
Just my 2 c. You can get a lot more info on the sites that Cosmoline gave you.

I met a guy at my club's range who has a K31 outfitted with one of these. It seemed rock solid to me. If you can get past the whole offset scope to bore issue, then I don't see why you wouldn't get one if you wanted to use a traditional scope.

Rear sight mounts

Clamp on vs rear sight mounts? Have any of you used or seen the rear sight mounts. Which is more secure? Thanks for the link Cosmoline.

I just bought a clamp on from AIM. I have mounted the scope but not shot it yet. It is easy to install and mounts very solidly. I was impressed. I'll have to see how it holds up to shooting. I won't be in a hurry to pull it off and put it back on again.
