1 year one month and a few days ago I purchased a cobray street sweeper destructive device.

I have not received a stamp

In 2020 I purchased a cobray m11 and a gem tech silencer in April and by October 2020 I had my stamps.

Who do you talk to about this matter?

Does writing a senator or congressman expedite anything?

The date you purchased doesn't tell us much. More important is when ATF received your paper form 4 or you certified an eForm.....not necessarily the same day as you paid for your purchase.
Paper Form 4 waits begin as soon as your check was cashed by ATF. Currently averaging 315 days
eForm 4's are the date you certified. Currently averaging 270 days.

NFA processing times are most dependent on the volume of submissions. With the implementation of eForm 4's in late December 2021 there was a massive increase in submissions.

As noted above you can call NFA Division. I'll save you the time......."Pending".:D

Sometimes. But you are experiencing exactly what everyone else is.

See the thread "Any recent approvals?" in this sub forum.

I honestly asked these questions knowing the answer I was just hoping I was wrong and there was in fact light at the end of the tunnel.

At this point in time I see very little reason to purchase anything NFA due to the excessive wait times.

There is a light at the end a the tunnel.

Right now wait times are up. Its just the way it is.

Hey, KY DAN, it could be worse.
Here in Oregon the State Police conduct background checks, (for the money),
and do not allow dealers any other option for completing transfers.

I filled out a 4473 for a trapdoor single shot yesterday and am currently number 10,000 out of over 20,000
in line.
Don't know how I 'jumped' the queue up to that number. Just lucky I guess?
My dealer (and best friend of over 40 years) showed me the computer screen that shows he
should contact the S.P. in mid April if I am not approved by then.

No, I have never been delayed before or have any police dealings at all to flag my transfer.
My last name is unique across the U.S., so no confusion in that respect.
These delays are a VERY common situation here in Oregon right now.

Also lucky for me here in Oregon, I am legally allowed to possess 'personal' amounts of
heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine (check if you do not believe me) so I reckon I can just get
high and forget about the absurd transfer times for a bit.

My rant's over, I do hope your outcome gets resolved soon.

The delay in approvals does more than anything else, IMO, to discourage NFA ownership. Much more than the tax itself, which, through inflation, has become minimal. If the Hughes Amendment was repealed (or declared unconstitutional), the problem would become exponentially worse.

It will be much faster now that they must process 40M Form 1s in three months.

Where did you get "three months"?
The forbearance period is 120 days from the date the rule was published (1/31/23), so no later than May 31st.
There is no requirement that ATF process those Form 1's before the end of the forbearance period.
The requirement is those in possession of a pistol with an arm brace submit a Form 1 before the end of those 120 days.

Meaning you could wait to submit the evening of May 31st if you wanted.
