Good for you!
I just joined
https://www.azcdl.org before the new year.
It's easy to grow complacent in a place like Arizona but with the massive influx of; Californians, Minnesotans, East coasters..... It pays to remain diligent and remind them where they moved
TO.
Tomorrow is a Yavapai County Board of Supervisors meeting regarding declaring the county a 2A Sanctuary.
This will be interesting pitting the ranchers and old-time residents against all the liberal whackoes that are attracted to Prescott.
I love seeing these grass-roots organizations taking hold. I lived in California after retiring from the Army and watched the NRA just turn their back on the entire state in the 90's.
BIG mistake!
Todd.
I suspect MoscowMike knows a bit about what you speak of, as do I.
I grew up in Moscow, ID and also lived in Prescott Valley from 2006 to 2013. Both are great places with conservative roots that are being taken over and changed by the influx of people from other areas. I was surprised at the large number of East Coast people in Prescott that I ran across.
I was also shocked by the homeless issue in Granite Park. I attended a flag football game there with my wife and kids and was on constant alert due to the presence of very sketchy people hanging out in the woods. Supposedly Prescott has a very large number of drug/alcohol rehab clinics, and the large number of people that wash out of the programs end up staying in the area.
Moscow is where my parents and brother still live, and unfortunately, the town is the most liberal town in Idaho, having just elected a couple of extreme progressives. Expect Moscow to become a sanctuary city and even more harsh restrictions on water use, recycling, and increases in fees on everything.
My stepdad was the Chief of Police there for two decades and said dealing with the liberal City Council members and University of Idaho officials was a constant challenge; no common sense and anti-law enforcement and freedom.
I now live 15 miles away in Washington and plan on moving back to Idaho once my city council term is up. I just won't be moving to Moscow. I never thought that my beloved hometown would swing so far to the left, though it has been happening for years.
The threat to Virginians is a threat to all of us who believe in the Constitution and we need to stand with them and support them.
The sobering thing is that the anti-gun people never stop, never rest, never listen, and are never satisfied with every encroachment or compromise they manage to pass. There needs to be a definitive SC ruling that puts an end to this nonsense.
