does anyone have any knowledge of any issues para ordanance might be having with their company? I know they have been offering rebates for some time, have seen some ridiculusly low prices being offered lately.Could they be moving overseas, going out of business anything that might effect their quality or warranty in future? thanks.

They moved from Canada to FL recently IIRC and I think are blowing out items from their Canada operations.

Not sure if they hit a roadblock in that move and are going away or not.

North Carolina.

Para is fighting an uphill battle in quality and customer service. They were in the category with Taurus of "you might get a lemon, you might luck out." Now it seems they are doing what they can to shed that image from poor quality/CS from their Canadian lines.

They are facing the same issues as most of the companies bought out by Freedom Group. Add to that their somewhat recent relocation, and a market flooded with similar guns in the same price range, and there are a lot of hurdles for them. Overall, I think they are turning out a good product at a competitive price point.

I just think there's a glut of pistols on the market in general. People just were in a buying frenzy recently. Many have run out of money or have calmed down now that we're in a Republican controlled congress.

As a result many manufacturers have a ton of stock (or production facilities dedicated to pumping it out) and they're just having to do a little more to entice buyers. A lot of companies have been dropping prices lately - not just Para. Notice lately how many legitimate non-junk pistols are starting to show up at around $250? Canik TP-9's, SAR B6's, Zastava M88's, Diamondback DB9 FS's - heck even the Walther PPX is down to $280 at some vendors.

Its a good time to be a gun buyer.

Para USA QC....

I don't own any Para USA pistols at the moment but Ive seen a few .45acp & 9x19mm models that look decent.
Now that the company is in NC, I hope they can meet the ads & hype they themselves laid out to the US gun buying public.
The ads say the guns are hand-fit, which according to gun channel host, James Yeager is a good thing. ;)
The lifetime service plan & robust engineering helps too IMO.
I like DA only(spurless) pistols for duty & protection. Para USA has the LDA format but these guns are rare in many local shops. :(

The para's I've had one LDA and one commander model were accurate and well made. Cdnn has some amazingly low prices with a $100.00 rebate.

It looks like Para is part of the Remington group now-formerly freedom group, which owns several gun companies.DPMS,bushmaster to name a few. They are moving the factory from N. Carolina to a new center in Huntsville Alabama with other gun comapnies all under one roof. Hope quality remains good, etc. with move, and current production also.

If the two Limited Paras I've had over the years are an indication, their quality can't get much worse.
