Thr resurrected thread on the ruger American's great accuracy with steel case ammo has again piqued my interest.
I have read several reports that this ruger in x39 can accomplish about 1moa with steel case ammo.
All reports I have heard, read, or experienced seem to indicate that steel case 223/556 is 3moa on average irrespective of the rifle. Once in a blue moon 1.5-2moa.
So the question.
Is the ruger american in x39 just that accurate?
Is steel case x39 ammo more consistent than 223/556?
Is the american in 556 as accurate with steel case as the x39 version?
