Okay...got just about everything set up for my 270. scope and mount, some dies and boolits, brass and loaded factory ammo.

Now...I can deal with the "tupperware"...but not for too much longer...Boyd's is showing almost all their LA stocks for Savage rifles on backorder...who else has a decent looking pepper-laminate monte-carlo style rifle stock?

D

Thats the problem with the Stevens rifles. After you upgrade them to a decent level of quality, you would have been money ahead to buy a Savage with wood stock.

Picked up a used iio package gun a couple of years back for two thirty-five and Wasn't in love with the stock. I was able to stiffen it using some peices of scrap aluminum arrow shafts and Acraglass jell. It helped. I finaly bit the bullet and bought a Savage laminated stock from Midway. Sincerely, Essex
