i was just curious, has anyone got to try out the stevens security 350 yet?im about to invest in another tactical/security pump, and i wanted to get some reveiws on it before i forked out the cash.i already own a mossberg 500 tactical with the extended tube.love the gun,i just need another for the toy box;).

With a bottom eject, you can't throw another round in the ejection port and go, you have to load thru the magazine. For a lefty I can see the advantages. I don't think there is a better gun out there than a Browning BPS - had three that never missed a beat - but i just can't warm up to that loading feature.

Instead of looking at that stuff why not go for the real deal! Get a Ithaca security gun. They make them just have your dealer call them.

The Stevens is made in China, for that reason alone I would not purchase one. The new Ithacas out of Ohio are great shotguns. The Stevens is nothing more than a cheap knock off of the Ithaca 37. The Browning BPS is another great bottom loader. By the way loading directly into the chamber is possible with the bottom loaders, you just have to spend some time to become profficient with it.

thats fine if you have that kind of cash to drop on a shotgun.
im on a limited budget, and have to go with what i can aford.

I bought one of those maybe 6 months ago and I love it. My model has the Ghost ring sights.

gpwelding1,
I have often been on a very tight budget and can not always afford exactly what i want. That being said have you looked into purchasing a slightly used shotgun, if you look it is possible to find high qualty firearms at competative prices if you willing to purchase used. What ever you decide I wish you good luck with it.

The Ithaca and BPS system can be loaded directly into the chamber. With the pump back, flip the gun over, place a shell on the elevator, and rack the slide home. It will feed one directly into the chamber.

It was on sale for $189.00 with the 18 1/2" barrel and ring sights ( 5+1 cap.)
But I have seen this model on sale for $199 with the 18 1/2" barrel and a ? 28" barrel but no ring sights.

Keep looking, they're out there, got mine 3 weeks ago at the Boomhower Academy store for 197.00. The sights cost over half that. I wanted a Norinco 982 ( 870 ), but they're back-ordered right now.I'll still get one, Obama has had epic gun sales this year.
