Steyr S9 - Walther P99cQA - Glock 26+27 Test
I just got back from the range testing the 4 guns above
I shot 100 rds in each and counted malfunctions and messured accuracy from 15 yards.
The Walther P99cQA arrived yesterday and is a nice gun it feels good in the hand and shoots well, It had no malfunctions but was by far the least accurate of the 4 guns.
The glock 26-27 are identical except the recoil on the 27 is worse
the 26-& 27 were both smaller than the walther and styer which are the same size. I have a big hand and so the glock feels smaller in my hand. the recoil on the 26 & 27 were the worst but both are not bad. Both 26 & 27 performed flawlessly for the 100 rds.
the accuracy of the 26 was a little better that the 27 for me and both were way better than the walther.
The Steyr to my suprise was accurate as hell almost twice as accurate as the glocks at 15 yards. the steyr is the most comfortable of the 4 to shoot, and had the least felt recoil. It is the only gun of the 4 to have performance issues with 3 falures to eject thus causing a
jam. after firing the 100 rds the steyr was the only gun to apear filthy inside- all 4 of the guns had been cleaned before the trip to the range.
I am going to take the steyr apart and clean the heck out of it again
and go back to the range for more testing next week.
the glock 27 and the walther are going to be for sale on gun broker soon.
the glock 26 has been my main carry gun for years now so the steyr and the G26 will have some more head to head testing
the glock has night sights and a lasermax in it, so it is more versitale for low light shooting. plus it has never jammed on me
