Steyr is my favourite "little guy" company, I not only enjoy their products in terms of mechanics, but also the egronomics. I feel they put more time into the actuall feel of their guns than any other company.
the Aug and scout are two of my favourite rifles in design and application.
Any one else have a love affair with one of the little guys?
comments welcome

Count me in. I've been a Steyr shooter for 20 years starting with a GB around 1987.

Will a factory AUG A2 scope mounting system fit a USR? Yep, like those Steyrs!

I have a Steyr M-40 and it is a very accurate, well made, ergonomic pistol. Reliability is not where I would like it to be, however. Also, the used value of these is EXTREMELY poor. Don't try to sell one or trade one in. If I was going to buy a brand new pistol I would give pause to reconsider this brand choice. Like I said, many good qualities but they just don't do well on the market.

I like my M9-A1, it's just not my favorite. The trap sights are different.

The comfortable ergos are nice, especially for folks with smaller hands, but they have a ways to go before beating Glock at their own game.

Durability of finish, and reliability favor the Glock.

Also, the used value of these is EXTREMELY poor.

That's true right now, but once the CDNN inventory is gone the only new ones will be full retail, and I doubt folks will be selling their guns used based on what they paid for them. The used value issue is almost certainly a temporary state of affairs.

I guess not all the M series handguns people have purchased have been as flawless as mine. 1,000 rounds, 2 weekends, and no FTE/FTL to speak of!
Only thing I wouldn't mind is a lighter trigger break. anyone have suggestions?

I have had mine for like 5 years and it has never failed to fire or extract. It is a m40 with the regular night sites not the trapzoid type.

I got rid of my G30 after I bought it. I liked the G30 but the Steyr just a little better.
It gets carried most of the time with the P7 and 649 a little part of the time.

SSG 69. In 7.62 x51 nato.
Black stock, double set trigger, has the big bolt knob.
One of the most accurate weapons I have ever used.
