My EMP .40 was a tack driver, I did trade it, due to it's weight. It's heavy reinvented 1911 model scaled down to the 9mm round. The .40 was the same. So all the parts were reduced in scale instead of putting a chopped off commander slide on an officer frame. BUT, I was in love with the way the gun was put together, and it ran 300 to 400 rounds without one hiccup, 3 types of FMJ, 3 JHP P+ loads. It was nice, just heavy and sharp.
I was going to send it to Dave Severn's and have the back of the slide smoothed and dehorned as much as possible, it's not out of the box at all, and we are talking CCW, I will do the same to whatever I end up with, no one makes one yet that smooth. Come on DW!! Feed the Need
The Springer Micro .45 on the other hand weighs 24 oz. and is not photo's here. I like it and will be doing the work to it instead, and have the finish redone, it will have to be. I am going to use a type of ion bonding.
The black .45 is the office Framed CCO (4.25 Slide), the size of the grip is almost the same, look at the hard edges you have with the EMP compared. It's a little more work, but it should be offered I think, the goal is not to hate to carry, make it work for you. Just so you think about it when looking.
The EMP was a great firing gun, even with a body shelled that thing has 3 Sharp edges, drop a round and take the bumper of the mag and you then have one less round.... and 2 sharp edges
hope that helps, i am shopping hard also for something like you are, same questions, just thinking ahead because hindsight's 20/20 right?
Was not trying but in I hope you don't mind I wanted to offer those thoughts too.
Para had a new PDA out and it looks fantastic, lighter, but I don't know Para that well.
my 2 cents......the Para looks good, just don' t have much experience with them.
Be well gentleman, have a good weekend, and OP, good luck bro!
