For the love of god if you're thinking about this as your first AR-15 please reconsider. Bear Creek is great if you've built an AR-15. If you're handy the major small issues they have like misaligned gas blocks, or a loose hand guard, can be easily fixed. Yes they have a great warranty, and they'll even send you small parts out. But, if this is your first AR rodeo please go a couple of tiers up to like aero, ruger, IWI, S&W and get something that has a lower failure/error rate.

For the record I own a bca 7.62x39 upper and it's been fun. But I had to reinstall the hand guard because it wasn't even finger turn tight.

Are you telling us that you get what you pay for?

PSA is about as low as I will go :)

I have a bear creek. 7.62x39 upper. It's fine. It does have a 308 bore. It slugs at .306. They could have stated that on their site. It's heavy too. I have a PSA lower on it. I did change the trigger springs on it. The 7 lb pull i did not care for.

If there was a rofl emoticon on this site I'd use it right now........... Funny how there's always at least one OMG the sky is falling story to go along with budget firearms........ I mean, really? You had one problem and OMG they're ALL BAD!!!!!!!!!!!! Despite your: "I own one" caveat that's how you are coming across.
I own three and they functioned perfectly out of the box, no need to tighten anything or have it sent to an armorer or returned to BCA.

My BCA 6.5Grendel UPPER is perfect. ~250rds through it and it just keeps shooting better every time out.
WITH 31.0gr of H335 under a Speer 90gr TNT, accuracy runs just over moa.

I had a bear creek 223 upper that needed the gas block straightened and the tube bent. But I also got two 6.5 Creedmoor and a 308 that were perfect. So I’d say for the price 1 outa 4 ain’t too bad
