Still looking for aperture sights for a CZ 527

Just got off the phone with both Williams and XS. Both claim that none will work, because of size and fit issues. If you are interested, PM me and I will fill you in further.

Are there any other options out there? I don't know of anyone else who makes a top-of-the-receiver aperture sight. The CZ receiver doesn't have a good place to mount one of the side mounted Williams', so I need a top mounted, flat based, very low receiver mounted aperture/ghost ring sight.

I have access to a drill press and a few other simple machining tools, and would be willing to give a try at fabbing up a simple ghost ring, but I would need some components. I have neither a lathe or milling machine, so that really limits me on what I can build myself.

I put a Lyman receiver sight on my 452. I wonder if the same model would fit a 527? It might be worth ordering one and see how it fits the receiver. Midway would always take it back.

*Note* This does require drilling and tapping two holes in the receiver, as well as removing a small amount of wood. It took about an hour and I still use the origional front sight.

It might, but I don't want something like that sticking off the side. Too complex and blocky for my purpose, which is a streamlined hunting rifle. It might just by my opinion, but I don't want to have it hanging off the side like that.

I am thinking if I have this, I can work something up to get it a little higher (probably) with some decent scrap steel we have lying around.

Ghost Ring

I too would like to find a ghost ring sight for my CZ 527 carbine.
I think it would be real nice. The problem is that the integrated scope mount is 16mm where a typical weaver base is 19mm. It would be nice if CZCustom.com had something like it for it.
