Stop order on Kimber?

Is their any gun board you missed with this question?

I don't think so. Do you know of any? ;)

I got the call today, my Kimber will be here tommorow! It will be Saturday before I can get to the shop to pick it up.

I have been busy during the wait. I loaded 150 rounds of RNL, 150 rounds of LSWC and purchased 50 rounds of Blazer brass along with 50 rounds of Remington UMC jhp's. Combined with some other odds and ends ammo I have in the safe, I plan to sit down at the range and spend the afternoon breaking in my new addition.

Thanks again to every one for your replies.

Congratulations!

I hope you will love yours as much as I love my original series Ultra CDP. It has been a wonderful little, aluminum-framed .45 . . . and an officer's lightweight sized .45 that is totally reliable and accurate is a very nice handgun to have indeed for concealed carry!

Lastly, Kimber's warranty stinks. 1 year parts and labor? I'm sorry, for a top-shelf company that's crap. Hi-Point has a lifetime, no BS warranty. Kimber? Nothing of the kind. That says it all. Never again with those folks.
I had an entirely different experience with their customer service.
I bought a used Series 2 Compact that had ejection problems. When I called Kimber the operator was polite. She asked me how many rounds were through the gun, and after I told her 1k since I've had it, she suggested I change the recoil spring. Told her I'd already done that, so she said to send it to them. I sent the pistol in, they replaced the slide to change from the external to internal ejector, installed new rear night sights (they said they were too faint), and polished the guide rod. Oh, yeah - they got it back to me in about 3 weeks IRRC.
Maybe I got lucky - maybe they've changed their warranty.
YMMV
