After a day at the range, do you store your rifles with the actions (bolts, pumps, levers or semi auto) opened or closed? Give reasons why?

Sorry for the double post............

Mine are stored with the bolts closed to keep any debris out of the actions. I also release the firing pin or striker tension.

Actions are closed and de-cocked either by hand (bolts) or by snap cap for those requiring it (semis, pumps, hammerless doubles and #1s etc).

Keeps any fluke foreign debris out and I can see no reason for an unloaded, stored weapon to be cocked. But, that's just me making myself better I guess. A life long habit.
