Story and pic: Thought I was going to buy a rifle, but a West German Sig...
I went to the local indoor range today. I've been "obsessing" about getting a Beretta CX4 in 9mm, thinking that I needed a carbine. So, I figured that I'd better shoot my M1 Carbine today. And, I wanted to try my Sig 220 Carry with the "short" (thinner) trigger.
So I get there and they have two 220s in the used case. The older one, a 1992 (KC code) and made in West Germany is calling me.
I don't need another .45... But, it's not just clean, it's never been fired. I'll type that again. n-e-v-e-r b-e-e-n fired! Two mags and the plastic case. $500. Hmmmm...
I looked at a Browning High Power (too worn and shot for the price), a Ruger10/22 Target (I can get one any time)... But, That Sig... Never fired...
It was busy today at the range. I had nearly an hour to think about the 220 before I got to shoot. Oh, and I did think about it. And bought it. And shot it. And, as has always been the case for me, it was perfect out of the box. Accurate. Sweet. Smart purchase.
p.s. My M1 Carbine shot great and I fell in love with it all over again. Who needs a 9mm carbine? Not me... And the 220 Carry with the slimmer trigger was great.
What a great day at the range...
