Steyr Scout in .308 with a case of FMJ and a case of 150gr Partitions. Having the barrel cut back to 16"-17" and threaded for a can wouldn't bother me either.

Some decent fishing hooks,
a cold steel machete,
flare gun,

...as i don´t see myself spending my time
plinking away on coconuts - i guess a 44.mag
revolver with one bullet would be fine,
just in case i wanna defend myself against
boredom and desperation.

( is it a zombie island? ...then an AK47 and a truckload of ammo)

AK-47.

I would also want no less than ten thousand rounds of ammunition, and a gallon of ATF or CLP to keep it lubed (for the rare times an AK would undergo maintenence).

Pump shotgun with different types of shot.
Rem, Moss, Benelli, any would work.
Shotguns are versatile, you can use them form hunting for food to self protection. Pumps are less likely to mess up than an auto, so that is the dependability factor.

but, if you need a rifle, I would say getting an over and under Remington with a 12ga and a .223 rifle combo. But, follow up shots will be much harder.

It just depends, hunting and survival or self defense?

(My gut still tells me Remington 870)
