Here's a copy of the email I sent to Lancaster:

"I recently got a Blond Romanian G rifle from Arms of America and it has
had some strange problems.

I took it out Saturday to shoot it for the first time. The first
magazine went well without any major issues. After that, it appeared to
have problems locking the hammer back after firing a shot.

Several times, I would chamber a round, fire, and then the next trigger
pull would be loose. After removing the mag, clearing the chamber, and
finding the ejected cartridge, I saw that they would have light primer
strikes. This happened quite a lot with my second magazine (five or six
times). With the third mag, the problem appeared to be getting worse,
because my rifle actually fired twice with one trigger pull. I decided
to call it quits after that.

Has this problem ever happened before that you know of?

I didn't get a warranty card with my rifle. What should I do?

Thanks."

It's been a few days, and I haven't gotten a response yet. Anyone know exactly what can cause this?

I read a post regarding this at one of the AK forums, IIRC it was "gunplumber" that investigated this and its the trigger group that can do this.

If it is doubling then you run the risk of firing out of battery.

Call Lancaster, you need to get it fixed or run the risk of a kaboom in your face.

i had a similar problem with my 103 and fixed it fairly easy. There are two springs(actually one but the 2 ends are what need adjusted) on the inside of the reciever that are in the housing area of the trigger. The two ends rest on the trigger. Pull those up and bend the ends down so they put more resistance on the trigger. I have a real light(too light) pull on my trigger and had to do this, everything has worked out great since. good luck

i'm pretty happy with lancaster and the rifle they built for me. they forgot to include a cleaning rod and other trinkets that they should have sent ,and i called and talked to mike barnes and he hooked me up pronto, and then some. i'd call them immediately, they'll hook you up. here's mikes cell number....775-250-7295,

Are the "arms" from the hammer spring properly positioned over the legs on the trigger? Sounds like one of them may be out of place.

FWIW, I had a few issues with Lancaster and Mike was very quick to make things right.

^ I wish I could check, but I'm at college right now. I shall look first thing when I get home.

Thanks for the replies.

Unhappy Strange Lancaster AK problem...

Always better to call for something like this. Email is a good way to get ignored (or spamfiltered).

Do what Navy87Guy said check the springs, if you can, try to find a pic online with the proper placement. I had a problem where my trigger would not reset on my AK, turn out I move the spring while cleaning.
