i asked on here about iwb carry of my 4 inch barrel service six, i have decided to try it and need one last help on it. i am on a tight budget so i try to save when i can, so here is my question. i already have a couple pancake holsters, should i buy the straps to turn them into a iwb holster?, or get a complete iwb holster? the straps are $15 where a holster is $25-$50, thanks for your help.

The pancake will prove much more comfortable to carry all day.

Converting one to an ISWB with more straps & snaps is a bad idea.
You probably won't like it very much!

rcmodel, the gun carries real nice in the pancake holster, i was thinking however than when it warms up that concealing it will be harder so a iwb would be better to conceal. thanks

Since it is now getting cooler, you have about six months to think about it.

That extra time should allow you to save up for a better holster. Generally speaking, a $25 IWB holster is not going to be a quality holster.

In regards to buying the straps, isn't it a nylon pancake you have? A nylon holster worn IWB will collapse when the pistol is drawn. It will be very difficult to reholster a revolver, or any gun, with a nylon holster IWB.

i have a molded nylon that the main part is hard molded to my gun and will stay shape. thanks
