Stripping Browning Buckmark for cleaning

Just do your homework (i.e., YouTube) before dismantling your BM. As noted, under the grips is where things can get tricky. Removing the barrel is no big deal; I do mine perhaps once a year, and yes, find debris that I cannot get to otherwise. Otherwise you are forced to clean the barrel from the muzzle end (gasp!), which, if you are not a complete doofus, can be done safely with no damage to the crown. One note: crud LOVES to build up under the extractor; give it a good scrubbing when you do your regular cleaning.

I have completely stripped my Buckmark twice over the past 15 years. First time was frustrating, second time I watched a youtube tutorial prior.

I think this is the video...

Tallball- inside a big plastic bag is a pretty good idea, its easy to lose things when they pop out unexpectedly.

Rondog- $200 is a good deal, I got mine for about $212 each at Bass pro on " black Wednesday" . Brand New! And since I got 2, I have 2 mags by default ;)
Btw- do you happen to remember where you found those assembly instructions?
No, I don't remember. I just Googled around until I found something.

It's not that hard, folks. If I can do it, anybody can do it -- even the under-the-grip stuff.

The Buck Mark info sticky on the Browning forum of Rimfire Central will tell you everything you need to know.

Walked into the LGS one day.
Owner pulled out a gallon baggie of Buckmark parts.
Totally torn down.
Asked if I would reassemble it.
Inventoried it, replaced the missing bits and reassembled.
Made me a quick C-note for the effort.
