I just bought a Rem 581 in Excellent condition, and want to put a scope on it. What is the best/most solid way to mount my Leupold 3x9 RF on it? I assume someone makes steel tip-offs? (If that is what fits this rifle) Im not up on rimfire rifles. Thanks-

Don't know if they are the strongest. And they aren't even steel. But www.bkl.tech makes some very sturdy, high quality rings for quite reasonable prices. Designed something like thick benchrest rings. They work equally well on US grooves or the 11mm grooves on European rifles. These would be very much appropriate for a fine Leupold scope.
