I am in the market for a sub-compact auto that would fit in a pocket, or carried in a waist band holster. I would buy a 9mm, .40, or .45, but prefer the .40 or .45. I want an exposed hammer that I could cock to fire SA, or just fire DA for the first shot. After the first shot, I want it to be SA. I realize it would not be a target gun, but reasonable accuracy would be nice. My short list incuded:
1) H & K P2000SK
2) Sig P239
3) CZ 2075 RAMI
I have not had a chance to look at a CZ, but the HK "felt" better to me than the Sig. However, I am sure there are pistols I am not even aware of. Any one want to make suggestions as to make & mode I should look into? Thanks

Kahr makes guns of this general size in all of those calibers. I am quite fond of my own PM9 as a pocket gun. However, being striker fired, they do not have exposed hammers.

The 239 is beyond believable accurate. It's scary accurate. It's crazy enough accurate to drool over... Put hogue wrap-arounds on the 239 and it points better, feels better, shoots better, ect. It's nice in the 9, though the 40/357 is nice too!

239 won't fit in your pocket; great IWB gun.

for pocket carry, I would also recommend a Kahr. I like my mk9 and use it for pocket carry amongst other methods. PM9 is more adept to pocket carry given its edge on weight control

Of your criteria and listed choices you would be well served by either the sig or the cz . My sub compact is a Kahr , but double action is fine with me , the transition between da and sa bugs me worse that dealing with either lol .

The SIG is extremely flat, disappears with the right holster, is as reliable as a blacksmith's anvil and is as easy to shoot accurately as guns much larger in size. It really is an awesome firearm.

Nothing wrong with the HK, spectacular weapon just extremely pricey for a piece of tactical tupperware. I think I would more likely buy an XD or Glock unless I found the HK for a really good deal.

I will be the first to recommend the HK P2000sk. I have one and I enjoy it very much. The version I have is the DAO version but it is a shooter. I plan to get a DA/SA version as well, however that will be when the budget allows. As of right now though, I am a broke college student.

The HK P2000sk is a fine firearm and I highly recommend them. You can get a good deal over on www.policeguns.com if your willing to buy online. The gun will come with 3 magazines and night sights.
