Sub-sonic success

Finally got Trailboss powder in. Used 3.5gr of it behind a Hornady 55gr SP projectile loaded backwards. Averaging 1000fps, no keyholes at 40 yds, and a pleasant sound about the same as my sub-sonic 22 ammo. I got better accuracy seating them backwards.

I'm going to use these to kill beavers at night on our farm. Gives me more bullet weight than the 22.

Going to work up a load for the 308 next. If it is as quiet, I will use those instead.

Are you using a supressor? If not, and you are getting subsonic .22 noise levels, that is pretty sweet .

No supressor. Really happy with it.
