Lately, there alot of fine guns coming to market in the way of the subcompacts. Vote, and tell us about your favorite sub and particulars of what you think is great about it, or what is lacking. :)

Although I am a confirmed H&K nut, the Kahr in PM9 form is the perfect pocket pistol. Small, lightweight, and chambered in a real caliber.

Kahr PM40 Lots of power in a very small and light package.

Only thing missing is one in 45ACP.

CZ Rami gets my second place vote. In third place I'd put "other" Para P10 or the newer Warthog model. A single stack Warthog would rank number one with me.

I like many, if not most, of the one step larger than sub compact (ie, CZ PCR, P-01, G19/23, XD Compact) but so many of the subs feel very un-natural in my hands.

I figure if you're gonna go small, go small... I'd go for a Kahr. P9 Covert. Very light, very short and thin grip... Good trigger. Mine was completely reliable.

I also like the RAMI but again, the PCR/P-01 seems much better balanced and not really that much larger.

I voted for the P2K. Reason is that while I don't own one...yet, I do have a couple other H&Ks that are my foavored handguns out of all my handguns including Glocks and Sigs. I know the Khar does a good job of stuffing a large caliber into a small package but I've also heard talk about some of them having functioning problems though. Haven't handled one so maybe I shouldn't comment on that but after hearing that story from several sources on various boards, there might be a grain of truth to it. As far as the S&W CS9 goes, is it much smaller than the CS40? I had one for a little while and I don't think I would put the CS40 in the sub-compact catagory. Might be the CS 9 is smaller than the .40 version but I'm not sure it is.

Though I'd prefer a .45 auto......

there are few in the truely 'sub' category....
I vote for the Kahr PM series as the rest are too big for my tastes.
My girlfriend packs a PM9 which is a joy to shoot, reliable and very accurate, fairly decent thump for its size.
Been pondering getting Kahr myself, though the PM40 might have more thump on both ends, think I'd get the Nine for ammo and mag compatability with Milady.....

All the above are all but impossible for me to handle. I consided the Kahr K9 to be a subcompact.

I carry a PO1, but the RAMI is truely a subcompact. With the possibly new Pierce finger rest being worked on, the RAMI becomes comfortable for everyone, and moves up a notch. There are also rumors of the RAMI being made in 45 GAP. Why, I don't know, but OK....

I chose other because I just picked up a keltec p11 and I like it. If I had unlimited budget I'd have gone with a kahr, no question, but for the price I chose the p11.

SIG P239 in .40. Shoots like a full size, dissappears easily, powerful, reliable to a fault, familar controls, traditional double action, very snag resistent.

Yep make mine a SIG. Big surprise there huh? :D

I voted for the RAMI. I have fired the .40, and love it. Great sights, very accurate and pleasing to shoot. The recoil isn't nearly as 'sharp' as everyone says.

My current carry piece is slated to be my SP101...but I am seriously considering adding a RAMI to my collection.

I've shot the Glock 33 and handled the other "baby" Glocks as well as a few of the other guns on the list. I bought the RAMI and don't regret it one bit.

Kahrs are nice little guns. Very smooth DAO triggers and quite svelt. I don`t own one but I`ve shot several of them and put quite a lot of ammo through them. The PM9 has some mild reliability issues and the recoil is not hard but it is "flippy" even when gorilla gripped. The K9 Elite with Optima is really cool. That said I can easliy outshoot any of them with my wife`s Colt Gov`t .380 and can match them offhand with my old Kel-tec P-11 despite the fact that the Kahrs "feel" much easier to shoot well (they just don`t,for me). In the end I voted XD because I have a stainless XD40 SCP on order. ;) It`s not quite as small as a Kahr but it`s still pretty small and the SA trigger is really nice even compared to the Kahrs. I want to like the Rami,I really do. But...the safety is so low profile I find it hard to work reliably and the overall CZ-40ish profile just doesn`t have that special CZ sexy feel to me. :( Marcus
