I’ve been tinkering with 147 grain bullets in my Ruger PCC lately.
My old stock of 147 plated bullets, Rainier and Berry’s, has been disappointing at 100 yards, shooting anywhere
from 3-1/2” to 6”. Even the Remington 147 FMJ match isn’t winning any matches.

Was about to give up on 147s . Tried a few old factory Winchester 147 SXT rounds today and ***? 1.8” at 100 yards.
Equals my best groups with this carbine.

Going to order some RMR 147 Matchwinners for a solid practice bullet, but what do you like in a 157 grain hollow point?

I run the RMR 147 FPMW for matches, but it’s out of pistols. The PCC guys seem to like a lighter bullet, but I don’t know it that’s related to accuracy or not.
If you meant 147 hollow point, XTPs are what I get, but I don’t load a lot of them.

The 147grn XTP is a reasonable substitution to the SXT. I don't know that I've ever had bad accuracy from an XTP in any cartridge. If you can find them, the Speer GoldDot component bullet is also good... but they have been hard to find, lately.

I've also found that powder choice makes a big difference with the heavy 9's... I tend to run a bit slower powder, in the Unique range.
