Second, When you assemble the bar, make sure the slot for the actuation lever is in the correct bar cavity. If it is not, you will get some 'play' in the operation--and the repeatability is gone.

-surely i'm putting it in the right cavity...wouldn't it hardly work if it was in the wrong cavity? I guess I should double check, since mine is hardly working:).

Actually, last night it did work a lot better. I dont think I did anything differently though...maybe Ive been putting the actuator lever in the wrong cavity..surely not, I know i've been careful to assemble correctly. Maybe so though..
It was throwing like a champ for the first time.

I think I'm convinced the charge bar only works with certain powders and 800-x is not one of them (along with some others Ive tried). I tried every which way but loose just now to drop 4.5 gr and it was a no-can-do proposition. Could barely get anything to drop until I got to the 8gr mark. Just guessing at the 8gr but it appeared it was twice what 4gr looks like...erghhhh. Frustrated. Spilled powder...I was just going to try and get my powder measure right for a loading session tmrw...Frustrating...Did I mention this was really frustrating?

The auto disk's disks are adjustable if you have a reamer. Of course work slow and check your work. But I've found you can create any volume you want with one of those tapered grinding stones you chuck into a drill.

You want to change the diameter of the side that faces the powder hopper (not the powder through die and case). This works for me.

Are you sure your setting it correctly The adjustment is not in grains but cc's
Every powder has a VDM number The setting is VDM x gr = adjustment

Hope this helps

Thx 2 horse. But, yes. Ive done the calculations to set it, and just tried to get it going throughout its whole range of motion.

Thx. Yes Ive reamed a few. I think I may just buy a few extra sets and drill away,.

Reloading is a lot about trial and error, and the good thing of having two pieces of equipment for the same function is that you can choose the one that works better with this or that combination of components.

Truer words ain't never been spoke!

(can't remember what movie that line's from) :scrutiny:
