Howdy Everyone,
I have some Speer item #4203 140grain .357" hollow point bullets. Some
Hodgdon 'Universal' powder (Not Universal Clays) and some Hodgdon 'TiteGroup' powder and primed .357 magnum cases.
Can you suggest some full or near full power loads useing what i have listed?
Also, what are the Speer 140gr (shallow) hollow point bullets intended for?

Thanks For Your Time and
Have a Safe Holiday Season

Angelo

The Hodgdon data center lists loads using the Hornady 140 XTP and both powders you listed.

You would be safe to substitute the Speer 140 with either starting load shown.

Be aware that both Titegroup & Universal are very fast powders for trying to get maximum performance out of the .357 Magnum. There is very little latitude between a starting load, and a maximum load, and a dangerous load!

I don't know exactly what use was intended for the 140 grain Speer bullet.
However, I use 140 XTP's or Sierra's almost exclusively in my K-Frame S&W's for a good balance between bullet weight & high velocity.
