It has beeen quite a long time since I bought a pistol so I did find an excuse to go shopping again!! :D

I would like to get a pistol for IWB carry (in a soft holster), something in between my full size carry, a Bersa Thunder 40 (which is on the smallish size for a full size piece) usually carried on a belt holster and my pocket piece, a Kel-Tec P11.

So something a bit more capable than my P11 but not as big as my full size pistols (Bersa, Beretta, SIG, S&W).

Please no funky trigger hardware (so it means NO GLOCKS) my preference would be a traditional DA/SA handgun or, second choice, a good DAO. Only service calibers please, nothing under a 9mm.

I did look first at the Bersa Thunder compact line but they are as thick as their full size counterpart (1.45")

To be honest my ideal would be a Thunder 380/Walther PPK size class but in a service caliber....second choice something like a KT P11 but with a bit longer barrel and better trigger.

I want to go below 4" in barrel lenght (let's say 3.5")

I do not care if is a single or double stack but ideally it should be very close to my P11 in thickness (1")

Does something like a Glock 26 but with a SA/DA or a DAO action exists?? That would be perfect. Nothing in the SIG model range exactly like that jump to mind at the moment.

Finally, something reliable and fairly accurate, obviously!! :D

Thank you!!

Ummm...have you actually tried a Glock trigger? It is the essence of simplicity. All you need for it (and any other pistol) is a holster of stiff enough material to protect the trigger from being accidentally pressed - which should include most decent rigs.

Yes and I do not like it even a bit, period.

I'd suggest a (discontinued but still readily available and relatively affordable) Smith & Wesson Model 6906-or any of its "Third Generation" single-stack brethren. Very reliable and well-made pistols, if a little "old school".

Ruger SR9c or S&W M&Pc 9mm

I'm not a fan of Tupperware either. But both of these guns are great to shoot and make great carry pieces.

Sig P239 is a great gun. I prefer the DAK trigger and 357 SIG although the .40 and the 9mm are good too.

I prefer the all steel Kahrs. Take a look at the K9 and K40.
