EDIT!! Sorry I meant to say Para P12.
I can't edit the topic so I'll repost it correctly

I need a good IWB for my para P-12 .45.

I'm 6'2" 220# and can hide a 1911 reasonably well but it does not have a wide rubber grip like the para.

I need a OWB for it too. I have a junky kydex paddle holster (fubus?) but it has no real grip on the gun. I can see it flying out if I fell or something.

I like the Fobus kydex type but its too bad they are made so cheap with no retention of any kind. Nice think about it is I can carry around the house with it as it is comfortable and draws fast, just wish it was adjustable so I could tighten it up. BTW I use the Fobus for my 1911. Its my gardening/around the house holster.

Some type of fast access, secure paddle is needed for my 1911 too.

I have a para p14 .45 I have the Gun rights model but its the same thing. I use the highnoon bare asset. I really like this holster. Its cheap but it is made very well. I've tried the more expensive ones and they do not even come close, IMO! http://highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/Bare_Asset/bare_asset.html

BTW my Gun Rights model have thin plastic grips. where can I find the rubber ones you mentioned?

That highnoon bare asset is the type I'm looking for.
I like the fact it has a tension screw!

It lists these models but not the P-12. I might be able to make it fit. I'm going to take all suggestions and do some serious hands on looking at the shops before I buy this time. I'm tired of throwing money at cr@p products.

Para Ordinance - 1911 3", 3½", 4", 5" Inch Barrel, P-10, Warthog, Hawg 9
It does say 1911 3" so that might work.

they have the p12.45 LDA 3.5" no spur. also they say they have p12 3.5"... Which Gun do you have? pics or a link to paras website would be cool

DM Bullard Dual Carry with a my 14.45 LDA LTD. I carry everyday. I got it off Bullard's ebay store.

I carry a Kimber 45 everyday. My holster is a Milt Sparks Versa Max 2. It took several months to get but it's very comfortable - I barely notice it's there. I'm 5'8" / 160lbs and have no problems concealing under an untucked polo shirt.

Are Paras good guns was thinking of picking one up saw a nice one with adjustible sights 14rd capacity and only 789$ is this good and how are the guns themselves.

I absolutely love mine. I would just say that you should make sure the gun is new or at least only a couple years old. I guess they had some problems years ago with the mag that made them unreliable. they fixed the mag issue though. I only put 13 +1 in my gun and it has been 100% reliable for over 1000 rounds. I've used federal american eagle and rem. golden sabers. Also, if its new 789$ seems good to me. or you could spring for 61$ more and get the gun rights model and support the NRA and get all match grade parts, barrel, trigger, hammer.
