For my first 9mm load I used HP-38 and then I tried Bullseye but my favorite that i am using now is Winchester AutoComp 4.7 gr with Hornady 124gr FMJs its awesome.

+1 for W231 and Unique. Nowdays I pretty much use just W231 for all handgun loads though. Unique did well for me but W231 meters more consistently in my experience. I used Unique for about 6 months or so and maybe I'm loading W231 hotter than I was Unique, but ... I find that my W231 loads seem to burn cleaner than the Unique ones. Lots of soot, grit, and unburned or charred powder flakes floating around when I'd shoot Unique.

Right now I use W231 successfully for 9mm, 380ACP, 45, 40, and 38/357. There are a bunch of other powders out there that work well too, but around here (central FL) I have an easier time finding W231 than anything else so I'm just sticking with that.
