I only work .223. Currently I am doing it by hand. I trim using the Little Crow so the only thing I'll be doing it deburring and chamfering so I really don't need a full brass prep station like Hornady's big job. Anyone have any experience with a good smaller station?

Thanks in advance!

When I used the WFT i didn't find much need to chamfer/deburr, although when I wanted to I would just use the cutters for the lyman hand tool chucked in a drill. pretty fast and easy to do while away from the loading bench. Little crow also offers a hand tool with a freely rotating toolhead to reduce wrist strain if you want to do it by hand.

Good suggestion. I also looked a Hornady's small prep machine but it only has 3 stations

I've looked at this one as well. Have you used it?

yep after I thought about it the 45 colt doesn't need much most of the time but the 243 and 30-30 do need it quite often. but i like the two you posted so what would i need to power these as i am green on this part! thanks for the help!

I have the smaller Hornady 3 station. It's great! However, it's even better now that I hot rodded it to 18vdc up from 12. I'm actually going to try 24v and see if she holds together. That would be perfect.

The reason I said maybe Little Crow might have something similar is I Think it can only be used with the Forster Case Trimmer which costs $70.

I bought the trimmer kit originally and added on a lot of accessories along the way. It's probably a good idea to buy the kit if you do buy because it will save you a lot on the collets and pilots you need.

One of those accessories was the $15 power adapter which allows you to use a cordless drill to power the tool instead of cranking it manually. That helps speed things up when processing bulk brass.

It costs a bit to get started but I think it's worth it since I use it all the time.
