Super deal comes by and Im broke!!!!

So my buddy at work calls me today and tells me his FFL friend is getting a shipment from Colt in soon and is willing to sell us (LEO) new in box Colt ARs for basically what he payed.

6920 for $1150

6940 for $1350

And guess who the only guy on the squad who cant get one is..... ME!!! The one everybody makes fun of because Im the "gun nut". Ironic isnt it.

BTW..... deal is already done so I cant hook anybody up.

But one of my buddies who is getting a 6940 is going to sell me his Colt A2 style carbine for a good price once I sell my AR..... check the classifieds.

Really?? I havent been able to find a new 6920 for anywhere near $1150.

Cheapest one on Gunbroker is $1500

Cheapest 6940 is $2000

i haven't seen a 6920 anywhere close to that since the election.

if i could get one at that price, i'd consider buying another.

My local gunshop has a new 6920 for $1900!!! I would certainly take a 6920 for $1,100ish.

Those are good prices even before Obama.

Those prices would be considered fair before the election. In the current environment, for in-stock Colt ARs, that's outstanding.
