I'm basically at the point now where I have most of the weapons that I want. I'm thinking that the next thing I would like to get is a 9mm suppressor that I could use on both my G26 and Beretta 92. I've been looking at the AAC suppressors and they seem to be the best deal. I know I can get a sign off from my CLEO, so that won't be an issue. I intend to use it for home defense and for target shooting.
Here are a couple of my concerns:
*I know suppressors work best with sub-sonic ammo. Unfortunately, 9mm subsonic costs a bit more than regular super-sonic ammo. Do suppressors still significantly reduce the sound signature with super-sonic ammo? I'm not looking for movie quiet, I just want "not deafening".
*How much does ultrasonic cleaning cost? Can't I just clean the thing with Dawn and run tap-water through it? I don't want to spend a ton of money on cleaning.
*Threads. Are most 9mm suppressors 1/2x28 LH?
