Hello everyone. I'm trying to decide between the Surefire 618FA replacement forend and the Streamlight TLR-1 (using this Picatinny mount: http://www.brownells.com/aspx/ns/store/ProductDetail.as...TINNY+SHOTGUN+MOUNT) for my Rem 870 Marine Magnum. I can get the Surefire for less than $30 more. Although people are always saying that the Surefire forend is the ultimate, I can see a few advantages to the TLR. It's LED, it's possibly brighter, longer run-time, and it can be easily removed whenever I want. Any opinions? Thanks.

You can get the TRL-1 for $99. A Choate railed foreend is $30 and good. It IS handy to take off the light. The TRL-1 seems to be every bit as good as the surefire 200 for twice+ as much. The 618FA is good, works well, but is does use a bulb of 65 lumens. with a less than 1 hr burn time.
Hard call!
